Town Centre Securities PLC (the Company) recognises that under the Health & Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974 and other relevant statutory legislation we have duties to our employees, those not of our employment and the environment.

We will ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of our employees and anyone affected by our actions or those of our employees. This is by ensuring that all employees play an active part in the health and safety of the company and by providing adequate information, instruction, training and supervision for them to understand their role within the company.

Those appointed with responsibilities for health and safety will:

  1. Operate within all relevant health and safety laws and recognised standards
  2. Ensure that there are safe and healthy systems of work in place.
  3. Ensure that property and equipment is maintained to a satisfactory standard.
  4. Provide personal protective equipment where necessary and that it is maintained in good condition
  5. Maintain the working environment, common & public areas of work locations in a safe & healthy condition
  6. Control the use of hazardous substances.

Employees are required to:

  • Comply with the company's health and safety arrangements.
  • Co-operate with the company in the discharge of statutory and civil liabilities.
  • Take care of the health and safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
  • Take care of any environmental issues which may be detrimental to the general environment.
  • Not intentionally, wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety or environmental protection.
This statement and supporting documentation will be updated as and when necessary and will be reviewed annually.


Environmental Policy Statement
TCS is committed to minimising the environmental impacts arising from our activities.
This includes those impacts arising during the construction, refurbishment and ongoing management of our property portfolio.

We are committed to having in place a management structure that supports the implementation of this policy, which includes a Board Director responsible for environmental performance.  We will set annual objectives and targets for environmental improvement and monitor progress in achieving them.

TCS is committed to:
  • Complying with relevant codes of practice and regulatory requirements applicable to the company’s activities.
  • Preventing pollution and protecting the environment.
  • Achieving continuous improvement in environmental performance with particular emphasis on the areas of energy consumption and waste management.
  • Taking into account sustainability when designing new developments and undertaking refurbishments.
  • Encouraging good environmental practice by our suppliers and contractors.
  • Including a statement of our performance against this policy in the Annual Review and Accounts.
This policy will be communicated to our employees, suppliers, contractors and tenants and will be periodically reviewed and updated.
