Merrion Centre bags budget luggage retailer
Town Centre Securities PLC has signed up a new tenant for the Merrion Centre in Leeds city centre. Bags4U, a budget luggage retailer, which currently has 17 other shops in the UK, has chosen the Merrion Centre in Leeds’ Arena Quarter for its first shop in Yorkshire.
Bags4U, which opened this week, has been trading for 20 years and stocks up to 50 different luggage ranges including Compass, Explorer and ITP brands as well as handbags and other travel goods.
Amandip Singh Sandhu, chief executive of Bags4U said: “We wanted to open our first shop in Yorkshire in the city of Leeds and the Merrion Centre was the obvious choice. It’s a well-established shopping centre with a broad retail base and a good cross-section of shoppers. We are looking forward to trading here and serving the Leeds community with top quality travel goods.”
Susan Mendoza, centre manager at the Merrion Centre said: “We’re really pleased Bags4U selected the Merrion Centre for their first store in Yorkshire. We currently don’t have a luggage specialist so it’s fantastic to add Bags4U to the good range of shops we already offer visitors to the centre.”
