On 26th May 2024 the Merrion Centre celebrates being part of the heart of Leeds for a phenomenal 60 years!
As part of our diamond anniversary celebrations, we welcome you to take a trip down ‘merrion lane’ and join us at our ‘Merrion Through the Years’ pop-up exhibition.
From ballroom to bowling, films to flying machines…
We’ll be looking back through the archives at some of our most memorable moments!
From the first opening of our doors on 26th May 1964 to the abundance of modern day international eateries, shops and entertainment venues, you’ll see just how far we’ve come!
Experience a piece of the past…
Extending our exhibition, we’re thrilled to announce that the iconic Flying Kite Emett Machine will take centre stage on our main mall adjacent to Drift Stop.
From the intricate mechanisms to its whimsical design, this larger-than-life machine will transport you to a bygone era of charm and wonder. To see details of the full Emett Machine exhibition click here

Please note our exhibition opens Monday – Saturday 8am – 6pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm.
