Safe people on the move
Road Safety Week is an annual campaign organised by the charity Brake. Every year, thousands of schools, organisations and communities get involved to share important road safety messages and join the call for safe roads for everyone. This year it runs from 15–21 November, with the theme “Safe people on the move”.
- Whether we walk, wheel, ride or drive, we all share our roads when we are on the move.
- Whoever we are, and however we travel, by using our roads safely we help to protect ourselves and each other.
- Those with the potential to do the most harm must take the greatest responsibility for safeguarding people who are more vulnerable on the roads.
- Modern technology can help us to drive safely, and the choices we make when we’re behind the wheel can make a big difference.
